Why I Chose This Poem
Michael Gizzi (1949-2010) was my academic advisor, professor, and mentor while earning my BFA in Creative Writing from Roger Williams University. Although he passed before I graduated, Gizzi will remain an intellectual inspiration, a major influence on my understanding of poetry. For Michael Gizzi's biography, please follow this link.
