Houston, We Are “Go”

02 Apr 2012 / 0 Comments / in Blog/by A Poem From Us

Hard to believe that April, and National Poetry Month, has finally arrived. We’ve been looking forward to this day for a long while, and now that it’s here, well… it’s kind of weird. We don’t really know what to do with ourselves.

Joking. We actually have a huge list of things to-do yet. We’re currently super busy trying to get the word out about the project, and sending our little URL to as many people as we can think of.

After the last few months of planning and prepping, it feels great to open up our doors and “officially” launch the site. We’ve got a great initial collection of videos, and we hope others will join in and send their own.

A huge thanks to the talented Justin Siddons, for his help in designing the project log and project stickers. Thanks to Chris Stiles for feedback and input, while the site was being built.

And a tremendously huge thank-you goes out to all the participants, who helped provide videos prior to the launch: Kathy Fagan, Heather Hardy, Chelsea Voulgares, Jim Bush, Michael Kiser, Lisa Kirch, Jason Anthony, Star Simpson, Kevin Seal, Kristina Emick, Matthew Robinson, David Hart, Mary Tabor.

Thank you guys so much, for both your time and your indulgence. This was way more than a “click here to vote for us” favor, and it’s greatly appreciated.

Now that the site’s live, perhaps we can interest you in some free stickers? Or perhaps you’re digging the videos you’ve seen, and are considering submitting one of your own?

The more the merrier. We welcome all submissions, and the more you can help share our URL with others (be it through our stickers, Facebook or Twitter), we’re happy any help we get.

So welcome, visitor! Stay a while, watch and listen to a few poems, browse around. If if you’re so inclined, we’d love to find out what your favorite poem us. All you need to do is tell us.
